Hey, come on in! I’m pleased that you have visited our site here at Master The Razor. Before we get started, let me address the obvious point. While the original intent of this site was to provide knowledge and advice for Brothers looking to shave their heads (with a razor), it quickly became apparent that all sorts of men (and women) also shave. Or at least would like to learn how. Therefore we added resources to help our straight-haired friends out with knowledge and advice on how to shave properly.
When it comes to shaving, certain aspects of the game are universal. Heck, we’re all taking a blade to our heads, so let’s learn to ply the trade properly.

That sure was entertaining, wasn’t it? This fellow is quite a showman, but let’s discuss his technique.
I give him a lotta props on how thoroughly he details how to shave your head. In fact, his comments on his razors of choice were very interesting to me. So in order to help out, here are his tools:

I personally use a different type of razor than he, so our tastes run a bit different there. But John’s found what works best for him and that’s what counts. Also, I was quite surprised to see him so aggressively shave against the grain like that!! But again, that’s what works best for him.
To be clear, our stated position here at Master The Razor is never shave against the grain. Ever. But that’s just us. As you have clearly seen, there is more than one way to shave a head.
